ATHENS COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE · DECISION 711/2023
A successful outcome for the employer
The employee challenged the termination of her indefinite-term employment agreement as invalid and abusive and sought the legal consequences of invalidity together with additional compensation.
The Court held that termination of an indefinite-term employment agreement does not require a stated cause for its validity and that no specific facts demonstrating an abusive exercise of the employer’s right had been pleaded. It dismissed the claim in full and ordered the employee to pay the employer’s legal costs.
